Dangerous/Hazardous Goods

Some items may seem perfectly acceptable to be sending as cargo, but in reality they are deemed to be dangerous goods or hazardous cargo. As the shipper of the goods, it is your responsibility to make sure you are correctly declaring any hazardous goods that you are shipping overseas. Failure to declare any dangerous goods within your shipment can lead to the possibility of fines and confiscation/destruction of the offending goods. This could also mean you incurring additional costs, for the offending items to be removed and/or destroyed. Therefore it is paramount, that you are clearly declaring any hazardous goods that you are looking to ship. Do bear aware that shipping hazardous goods is something we can handle at, but this would be subject to acceptance by the carrier, the hazardous goods would need to be packed to acceptable conditions and of course, additional charges would apply.

Below are some examples of items which are classed as hazardous goods:
– Aerosols
– Batteries
– Perfume
– Paints
– Fuel / Fuel Tanks
– Explosives
– Corrosives
– Firearms & Ammunition
– Radioactive Materials
– Cylinders (Pressurised/Non Pressurised)

Hazardous goods/Dangerous goods include articles and substances that are flammable, corrosive, toxic, oxidizing, explosive, radioactive, infectious, compressed gases, dangerous when wet, spontaneously combustible, self-reactive, organic peroxides and regulated material.

Remember it is your responsibility to declare all hazardous/dangerous goods you are looking to ship. These can be accepted on our services, but we must be notified in advance, so that we can quote for the hazardous goods separately. Our standard pricing displayed on our website does not apply to any hazardous goods.
