When should I plan my shipment?

When it comes to planning your shipment, you should try and start preparing as soon as possible. Leaving it to the last minute, is when things can go wrong. For example have you got enough packaging materials, are you working to a strict time line? Leaving it to the last minute can mean you find there is insufficient time to meet your requirements. We would always suggest working to a couple of weeks ahead of your schedule, to be safe.

How Do I Get A Quotation?

Getting a quotation from ShipYourBaggage.com is very simple and hassle free.

– You can review all of the destinations we serve around the world, simply navigate to www.shipyourbaggage.com/destinations/ and then click over to the destination you are shipping to. Each country page displays our charges to each airport we serve.

– You can contact us via our website and send an online enquiry, providing details of your shipment. We will then send over our quotation to you for your shipment.

– You can call us on 0800 612 7445 giving details of your shipment, such as destination, weight and size and we can give you an estimate over the phone.

Do I have to book online?

All bookings need to be made via our website, using our short and simple to online booking form. You can navigate to www.shipyourbaggage.com/online-booking to access it.

Once we receive your online booking, we will respond within 24 hours to confirm receipt of the booking and also confirm your collection date. If we are unable to meet your specified collection date, we will notify you at this time and offer you alternative dates/times. We will always do our utmost to meet the original collection request of our client, however due to certain busy periods, this is not always possible.

Please note that no collection requests can be made verbally by telephone or SMS text message.

Do you provide packing materials?

Yes we do provide packing materials and these can be ordered through our website. Simply visit www.shipyourbaggage.com/packing-materials/ where you can order cardboard boxes, tape, marker pens and bubble wrap.

Once payment has been made for the packing materials you’ve ordered, we will despatch them from our warehouse and delivery will usually be completed within 48 hours thereafter.

 

Can I pack using my own boxes?

Yes of course this is no problem, but please ensure you are using suitable packaging. Do not “overpack” the boxes with heavy items, which risk the box splitting and/or damaging the contents whilst in transit. Remember the packages will be handled numerous times from leaving you, so they must be durable and able to last the journey.

If our collection driver believes the packages are unsafe to travel and/or insufficiently packed for transport, the driver reserves the right to refuse the collection.
